For the patties: - ground beef - garlic powder - onion powder - salt - black pepper - ground mustard - egg - bread crumbs

For the gravy: - beef broth - soy sauce - lemon juice - butter - flour - mushrooms sliced - yellow onion   - salt and pepper

Step 1

Combine all of the patty ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 2

Divide the meat into 4-5 patties. Meanwhile, combine the beef broth, soy sauce and lemon juice in a measuring cup or bowl and set aside for later.

Step 3

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add your beef patties to the hot skillet. Cook until browned on both sides

Step 4

Add the mushrooms and onions to the beef fat. Cook until softened. Add the beef broth mixture to the flour while whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5

Add butter and flour to the warm pan. Whisk together until melted and smooth. Add the beef broth mixture. Add the patties, onions and mushrooms to the gravy. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes.
