Taco night is everyone's favorite night! This crunchy Ground Beef Taco recipe is loaded up with seasoned ground beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream!
Add the onion and saute until just beginning to soften, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the beef, using a spatula or wooden spoon to break it up, and cook undisturbed until the bottom is well browned. Flip, and continue to cook until no pink remains. Drain all but a few tablespoons of fat from the pan.
Stir in the tomato sauce and water and sprinkle with taco seasoning. Let simmer for about 2-3 minutes, or until water is cooked off and the mixture is heated through. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
Scoop taco meat into shells.
Add your toppings of choice.
Notes
Feel free to omit the onion if you prefer, or if you want to save time.Increase the heat by adding more red pepper flakes or a few teaspoons of chipotles in adobo sauce.
